About Us

NextMed Technologies was founded in 2002. We are dedicated to creating solutions for the real-life, everyday challenges facing hospitals, training programs and clinical practices.

We were founded to provide services to residency and fellowship training programs. In the last six years, we have expanded to include large hospitals, small private practices, and everything in between. We provide services for surgery groups, family practice groups, and integrated hospital systems. We have not abandoned our roots: we continue to roll out improved services for residencies and fellowships. We take our research seriously, improving our product as technology solutions change.

Our software is created by physicians for physicians. This results in a streamlined, efficient, and easy-to-use interface. Our solutions work for you, not against you. RECS serves as a partner: working way that you want to work.

Where did we come from?

Founder, Rahul Rathod, MD:

Dr. Rathod is the founder and chief executive officer of NextMed Technologies. He was originally a consultant at Computer Sciences Corporation. He went to medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and subsequently was a pediatrics resident at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, where he then served as Chief Resident. The RECS software was initially developed from his training experiences during residency. Now, as a pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Rathod leads the executive management team, programmers, customer service professionals and our sales staff to provide safe, reliable service to customers. Our company has stayed true to Dr. Rathod’s original vision: RECS is Reliable Electronic Clinical Signout, designed for physicians, by physicians.

Our Management Team:

We have a diverse management team, representing experience in clinical and research medicine, information technologies, consulting, and patient care. Of our senior management, two-thirds still practice medicine.
